Following the notification in mid-December that Gavin Lunny, along with his assistants, were to leave the club at the end of February the Executive Committee began a process to find the best possible fit for Head Professional at Naas Golf Club and have the successful candidate in place as soon as possible. An Executive sub-committee was put in place to conduct the process of application, assessment and interviewing.

Today, as a result of the successful completion of this intensive process I am delighted to announce the appointment of PGA Professional Bernard Quigley as our new Head Professional here at Naas Golf Club. I am confident that this appointment is an excellent one for our club and that we have in Bernard a professional of the highest standard who will strive to provide the best possible service to members and visitors and make a major contribution to our club into the future.

Bernard will take up his position on March 17th, St. Patrick‚Äôs Day.

Bernard Quigley joins Naas Golf Club following a five-year tenure as Head PGA Professional in Tullamore Golf Club. During his time there Bernard grew a successful retail business and coaching programme, while making a major contribution to golfing success in competitive golf in the club.   Prior to his time in Tullamore, Bernard served as Assistant PGA Professional in Carton House Golf Club and coach at the GUI National Academy.  A highly regarded golf coach and custom fitting specialist, Bernard is currently a Leinster Golf Development Coach while also competing regularly on the Irish PGA Region circuit.  Bernard brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge which he looks forward to sharing with golf enthusiasts of all ages in Naas in the years ahead.  Bernard is married to Hannah. They live in Mullingar with their two children Alison (3yrs) and Geordi (7 months).

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our departing Professional Gavin Lunny for his considerable contribution to our golf club in the past 13 years. Gavin was our first Head Professional and has set a high standard in terms of service and commitment to our club.  On behalf of all members I wish him and his assistants, Brian and Dylan, every success in their future careers.

And finally, on your behalf, I want to offer a very warm welcome to our new Head Professional Bernard Quigley and wish him a long and successful career in our club.
